Reseña de álbum
The omission of Stewart's heartfelt "How Nice It Is," one of his seven best singles, is the only sore spot. Compilers always overlook the tension-filled ballad on these short collections (11 songs). Stewart's six other gems — "Strange Feeling," "I Do Love You," "Sitting in the Park," "Cross My Heart," "Summertime," and "Secret Love" — sparkle like diamonds with their digitally remastered makeovers. Also solid are "Everyday I Have the Blues," with vocal accompaniment by the Dells, and "Reap What You Sow," featuring the Jewels.

This is a must buy for R&B Fans
Ok every once in a while you find something old that rocks your world and Billy Stewart is by far one of the most under rated and un played of the oldie R&B Artists . The Beach Music Scene of the Carolinas keeps his music alive today and I swear his style has had a little to do with reggae in the 60's as well. Sitting In The Park is by far one of my favs as is I Do Love You and Summertime which is a classic done right.. All in all if you want groove this will do it to yah.
Billy Stewart 20th Century masters
Recently, my husband of 11 years, who loves hair metal, heard Billy Stewart's "Summertime" in a movie score and flipped out. (But that's no surprise.) I told him of how, as an adolescent in the early 70's, I watched them pull, from the Neuse River in Smithfield, NC, the car that he and his band rode the last night of their lives. I have awesome memories of listening to BS as I grew up on the coastal planes of NC. I'm downloading this album to give to my husband for his birthday so we can enjoy it together.
Why is every R&B singer not covering/sampling this guys work?! I am so shocked that I was not aware of Billy Stewart's increadible body of Work! What a discovery! He is truly an amazing talent.
