An outstanding job

I find it disturbing that reviewers have the gall to call this music "scream-o," for starters, but let's analyze some of the allegations of these bands butchering the songs. This is no cheap tribute. This is some of metal's best and brightest lending their own styles to pay tribute to a band that united them all in their pursuit of music. Diverse groups, from Italy's Graveworm (second disc) to England's Cradle of Filth, showcase their talent in their ability to hold their own against what is perhaps the greatest metal band of all time. It is not easy to convert songs to a heavier style with such gutteral vocals, but nobody destroyed these songs. This isn't an album to be shunned by "pure Maiden fans" and worshipped "heretics" (as some of the reviewers would have you believe). This is an album for people like me who were born into the 90's, when much heavier music became the norm for metal. This is for people who are true Maiden fans who grew up in a society with different standards. This is nothing more than proof that Iron Maiden's work will transcend generations upon generations of musicians, and their voice will live long after ours die out. Even if you may not agree with every style featured on the album, these bands featured did their amazing jobs to ensure that the Beast remains the best.

Damn, this stuff is great all like, Ahh! and Grr... and, What the heck, just buy it!

Nothing beats the original but...

you have to give credit to guys who can take a good song and not totally F it up, and these bands did that here.
