Ditching the New Wave flirtations of 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox, 24K Magic finds him setting his sights on ‘80s and ‘90s R&B, and stitching together g-funk (“Chunky”), Boyz II Men–style bop (“Finesse”), slow jams (“Versace on the Floor”), and a little James Brown for good measure (“Perm”). In other words, it’s Uptown Funk: The Album: charming, funny, and further proof that Mars is among the best that pop has to offer.
What is with all of the profanity?? Talented songwriter/musician bowing to the industry trend. So disappointing.
24K = Explicit lyrics
Why did he have to ruin a great funk song by using the b-word, sh-word and other needless profanity?
Good song ruined by bad language
Seriously, it's not that hard to clean this song up. It's garbage now.
