Sustained Restain

This album represents Paul Kossoff's sustained restrain of his rining style of play. Like Peter Green, Kossoff can take a few notes and ring out tears of emotion. "Some Kind of Happy" brings out a flood of feelings. "Just For You" is for all of us. Kossoff's guitar supplies the answer the each refrain. The recording sounds like the record, clean and clear.

Bobby Layne

The best recorded quality album ever for Kossoff. Not sure he played all tracks. Previous BSC album was poor quality. I do love this album and Sweet Beauty is one of my favorites from this group. Use it as ringtone for my wife. Rabbit influenced most of the songs but he did leave room for Kossoff's guitar. The best hands ever to touch a Gibson Les Paul belonged to Kossoff. One of a kind and this album helps show it. Like Paul Rodgers said, it would have been nice to see how Kossoff played 30 years later as a mature guitarist. He is sorely missed.

Hey I wrote a review already....

Excellent album: bluesy, funky, full of soul, Paul Kossoff's last. So different from the first album, which was rather lame IMHO. Six bucks for this? You'd be crazy not to get it.

P.S. I already wrote a review for BSC a couple of years ago: where did it go? I also wrote a decent one for the Yellpwjacket's Greenhouse album. Neither is in my account. Why bother with writing reviews if iTunes is going to lose them?

This lineup made The Band Plays On, but Kossoff died of an apparent heart attack (March19, 1976). Nevertheless, there was a second album, 2nd Street, after which the band reorganized; Montgomery departed and was replaced by John "Rabbit" Bundrick,...
