for the bipolar

this was the best medicine i had in my 20s when I had not any clue what depression was about or even heard of bipolar. all i knew was that this music held me in place and talked to me assuring that in between place that i was lost in. aside from my selfish experience, pascal rogé rendition of these late 19th century compositions captures the beauty and vulnerable eloquence of Satie's sensitivity. This is still one record that I keep around to feel safe and calm. There's a longing for something in the past but not specific to what place and time but feels very intimate. - earl grey

A beautiful and sensitive rendition of some very underrated music. Soothing and at the same time incredibly poignant.

Will keep you sane

A few years back, when I'd been led to believe I had very little time to live, I asked my daughter to play this music at my funeral. If you find yourself in so melancholy a mood that your feet begin to lose their purchase upon the earth, these pieces will re-ground you, re-connect you. They won't brighten the world, but they'll make the darkness more bearable.
