Whisper all the notes in my ears...

It is nighttime, and you are in an aeroplane flying over the Pacific; the world hushed and suspended, the only sound the subtle guitar and gentle vocals of Blind Pilot. This was the experience I had first listening to this album (and continued the flight with the album on loop).

Similar to folk/indie bands like Bright Eyes and Andrew Bird, (and perhaps a softer version of Neutral Milk Hotel), this album creates an atmosphere that stayes with you long after the wheels touch down and the headphones are out. Yet, unlike many other bands I have heard recently, this entire album is near perfect (although standouts include Three Rounds and a Sound, The Story I Heard, and goosebump-inducing Oviedo).

To say I recommend this album would be an understatement.
