This is the one that did it
I listened to this episode on a tiny radio on top of a mountain in the Wind River Range of Wyoming in December, while living literally in a pile of snow called a quigloo. Seriously. That asside it was especially moving listening Carlton Pearson's story with the snow falling all around us as we stomped our feet and clapped our hands to keep warm. I personally was brought to tears at one point in particular. Not being an especially religious person I most certainly felt a wave of emotion come over me during this episode. I had my eyes opened and my heart opened and I now listen to every this american life episode that I can and have downloaded all of them on itunes since March 2008. Anyway, this is the first one I listened to and I am sure it will move you too. (Sorry this review has nothing to do with the eisode's content but it is so worth listening to)
I've never listened to this episode but the first 20 seconds sounds nice... Since when did NPR start charging for podcasts?
