PI Moms and Reality TV
Some stories are too good to be true. The story of the PI Moms was awfully good, and so when a PR guy pitched the story to a reporter from Diablo magazine, the reporter couldn't say no. What he thought he was getting was the story of a bunch of soccer moms gone into the private investigating business. What he got was a complicated, convoluted adventure through scenarios out of film noir, stories that morphed from true to false, the failed launch of a reality TV series, and characters that you just can't make up. This is the tale of one writer's journey and it's got it all: drugs, lies and videotape. I had a great time listening to this story, and I bet you will, too.
