Cash Grab from the label Prince Ran away from!

As much stuff that's out there unheard or remixed but never released we get sad sad sad tracks that are edited to fit more tracks, this is EXACTLY what lead Prince to leaving his label after a bitter final stretch under his contract with Warner Brothers. What a giant slap in the artists face, If you buy this you're not celebrating Prince's legacy you're throwing in in a dirty toilet and flushing it into the sewer.

Giving Some Clarification

First of all, I want to say that this is a good compilation for those who haven't gotten the prior versions. This compilation is not for the die-hard "fams" who have very album. Kudos to iTunes for making "Moonbeam Levels" available as a single download, though.

Secondly, I want to give some clarification regarding the ownership of these sound recordings. When Prince inked a new deal with Warner Bros. before the release of "Art Official Age," he gained ownership of every single song he recorded prior to that deal as well as everything released after the deal. Therefore, if you go back to Prince's catalog of albums within iTunes or anywhere else you buy music online, you will see that NPG Records owns the sound recordings, not Warner Bros. Warner Bros. only has an exclusive license to release the music--they no longer own it. So, if you buy this compilation, then you will be supporting NPG Records and Prince's estate. Warner Bros. will receive a very small piece of the pie from now on, no matter how old the music is.

WB looking for $

Like some others have mentioned, this is just another so-called re-released Greatest Hits compilations that only spans the WB years. What about the last 20 years of his career? Classless to profit from his passing like this.
