A far more accessible echolyn release!

After the Sony debacle and band hiatus, echolyn re-formed as a quartet and released the excellent "Cowboys Poem Free", which proved the band was more than your typical "neo-progressive" copy band. echolyn actually has superlative musical chops and top flight lyricism which elevates them to the top of this era "progressive" minded bands. Following in "suite form" like the previous albums, from the opening smoker "Texas Dust" to the fantastic closer "Too Late For Everything", echolyn could do no wrong and their fans were threated to a great comeback album.

Echolyn's style has been termed updated progressive rock, due to the band's classically trained, highly professional members — vocalist Ray Weston, guitarist/vocalist Brett Kull, keyboard player Chris Buzby, bassist Tom Hyatt and drummer Paul Ramsey. After honing their instrumental prowess and close harmony vocals on three independent releases, Echolyn was signed by Sony.
