Customer Reviews

If you like late-era Boredoms, you need to get this EP. Sounds even better than some of the stuff on Super Ae!

Unlike the Boredoms' other album, "Seadrum / House of Sun", "7 (Boriginal)" doesn't just sit on one groove, but moves through and expands upon many brilliant ideas. Everything that you could love about the new Boredoms is here: propulsive drumming, textural effects, chunky guitars, and an overall atmosphere that is transcendently happy. The overall style is somewhere between "Super æ" and Vision Creation Newsun", so if you like either one of those albums you have to check this one out.

The perfect soundtrack for a fast drive on an open highway.

Boredoms capture the essence of the German motorik sound pioneered by bands like Neu! and Kraftwerk in the early 70's and add a touch of raw aggression on this impeccable release.

If you play 7(Boriginal) while driving, don't be surprised if you find yourself driving faster and faster, trying to match the momentum of the song. There's a contagious, frenetic energy to the song that only slows down in its final moments.

A high watermark for Boredoms that also makes a good introduction to the band for the uninitiated.

A typical Boredoms track might feature massively distorted guitars, squealing synths, any number of odd found-object noisemakers, or studio-manipulation effects; conventional...
