Life changing music

I attended this concert all those many years ago. I have a lot of music that is close to my heart, but this is the album that is dearest to me. I still have the vinyl, but to hear it clean again is wonderful. Thank you for this TREASURE!!!

Classic CCM

This album is a classic from a time when Christian Music was growing in popularity and growing in quality. I heard Barry at a house in his early days of being a Christian and it was one of the first times I heard Christian music that wasn’t hymns or gospel choruses. It was revolutionary for me. There could be cool Christian Music! Barry is a master story teller and like in his days with the New Christy Minstrels he bangs out a folk song with power! The 2nd chapter of Acts have harmonies of a type that are so tight you seem to only find these types of harmonies in family groups like them.

This album is a must for anyone who lived through the Jesus Movement and anyone who loves Christian Music. This album stands in a collection with Larry Norman’s “Only Visiting This Planet,” Love Songs first album, Maranatha's Everlasting Jesus Music Concert, and Keith Green’s first album. So happy Word has made this available. I wish Maranatha would release more of their early stuff!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this album!

I have a vinyl copy that I've tried to clean up to make digital but it just has too many scratches and a skip or two. Having this available is really good news for me and I was so glad to see it on iTunes. I bought it immediately when I saw it. Have I mentioned that I love this album?

Their music brought complex song structures to inspirational music. Their best-known song was 1974's "Easter Song," which achieved moderate mainstream radio airplay (and featured Michael Been, later founder of The Call, on bass). The group's self-deprecating attitudes may have kept...
