EDITORS’ NOTES

The crossover classical tenor embraces an unusually wide range on this set of passionate tunes: He starts out by nestling up next to some flamenco sounds during the introduction of “Perfidia” (before relaxing into a swinging cadence). In addition to singing Elvis’ “Love Me Tender” (in English), he keeps up with duet partner Jennifer Lopez during their orchestra-backed take on the Osvaldo Farrés tune “Quizàs, Quizàs, Quizàs.” The formula is familiar, but Bocelli makes it sound fresh again.

Ehhhhh

One of the greatest voices ever, has become elevator music since David Foster. He really needs to go back to his roots. This album is not inspiring.
