This EP is an eclectic collection of tunes done in a unique style. It ranges from the playful “You’re The Boss” to solemn “Broken Homes” . Meredith Dimenna vocals have good power and range and an earnest quality to them. Brian Grosz vocals are more velvety and deep. “Back and Forth” shows a nice contrast of their styles.
“You’re The Boss” is my favorite track on the EP. It’s jazzy, sexy and great fun. It sounds like they had a good time recording it. It’s always a good sign when people enjoy the music they make.
I was surprised to see “Interlude” by Georges Delerue , a film composer. It’s pretty rare for a film composer to, get covered by anybody. It ‘s an interesting reworking of the theme which I knew only as an instrumental.
Overall, a very good EP which seems like just a taste of what’s to come. I recommend it to anyone looking for something different than the usual pop and rock.
