PlukVDP ,

an ethereal gem

This record was originally released independently by Jeff Eubank in 1983. It was his first and last album (as far as I know). Since that time it became a sought-after staple for LP collectors and has now (finally) been reissued on CD and mp3. Jeff's voice is amazing and his harmonies are impeccable. The songs are a mix of folk and rock. They are most reminiscent, perhaps, of the Elektra/Asylum years in California rock (i.e., Jackson Browne, The Eagles, etc...). However, Eubank’s writing is slightly less pop oriented. While the melodies are beautiful, sticky, and intriguing -- there is no standard-faire song structure here. Every track is unique and fascinating. This record is definitely worth your time.
