Nice mix of some old classics--great mood music some of my all time favorites--moon river, Cara Mia, and theme from Exodus. You won't be dissapointed

Quit your complaining

Come on you classical fans, since there is no catagory for "elevator music", "easy listening music" or "mood music", where else would you place a light string orchestra other than classical? This is beautiful, relaxing music just as many classical selections are. If it's "elevator music" so be it; it's the BEST of "elevator music".

Mantovani is not "Classical Music"

...but if you want wonderful sounding orchestral music Mantovani and his orchestra is the way to go. Beautiful renditions of some of the twentieth century's best music. Mantovani represents one of the best of this genre. This collection encompasses some of his best work. For fans of this type of music this album is a must have.

Conductor, composer, violinist, and pianist Mantovani was one of the most popular and prolific easy listening artists of all time. His trademark "cascading strings" (or "tumbling strings") effect gave him an instantly recognizable sound, and his heavy reliance on the string section in general helped map out the blueprint for much of the light orchestral music that followed in his wake.
