Album Review

Recording Into the Blues, writes Joan Armatrading on the back sleeve of her first-ever blues album, "has given me so much pleasure," and that pleasure is evident in the grooves.

Customer Reviews

Absolutely brilliant. Joan's guitar playing is so under-rated and it really shines on this cd. I'm a Joan fan from the beginning, but this is one of her best.

Can't Push Me Down--download it

Joan saved her Anti-War masterpiece for iTtunes lyrics "You put your hands on my shoulders, but you just can't push me down..... No matter how hard you try, you just can't push me down. and I know it makes you mad No matter how hard you try, you just can't push me down. HEY HEY HEY You got a big streak down your back it looks kind of YELLOW"

What I like about this new collection of music is that it's an excellent fusion of a new sound heavily backed-up by the Armatrading sound so many of us revere. It is new turf well done, fully enjoyable and it sounds awesome.
