Awesome

This is an awesome CD- Definitely purchase worthy...

Interesting personal departure

I'm a fairly new TV On The Radio fan, so I'm following the natural channels of exploration through association with this particular band. Dave Sitek being the structural alchemist as producer, guitarist and beat-maker for TOTR, it seems a flowing progression to further indulge in the electronic arena of indie pop. I can sample the fruits of each singer from TOTR, but independently of one another (which oddly enough solidifies my interest in the dichotomy of a dual threat of vocalists). Katrina Ford, of the band Celebration, offers up wickedly androgynous 80's pop; Karen O lays on the sex with a dreamy ditty, nullifying any resistance to fall in love. I like the whole album for a run through the park, but this is not the type of music I listen to every day. It loses it's punch when it's overdone, although maybe I'm resisting a turn toward my tastes.

Great single

Apartment Wrestling was NPR's song of the day last week (NPR's music site is GREAT if you haven't checked it out) and I immediately bought the single. Great vibe, great energy. If you are a fan of Talking Heads you'll be pleased to know that David Byrne sings on this track. I haven't heard the entire album yet but if this is any indication it will be on my Christmas list!

To match the eclectic feel of what he was recording, Sitek collaborated with several vocalists,...
