Editors’ Notes

This acoustic collection of Foreigner classics is also available as part of the Feels Like the First Time collection that also includes Juke Box Heroes and a live video concert, Live in Chicago. This edition of Foreigner includes legendary guitarist Mick Jones, new singer Kelly Hansen, who is a dead ringer for Lou Gramm, and bassist Jeff Pilson and multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel. Acoustic interpretations of “Long, Long Way From Home,” “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero” and “Double Vision” are included along with a convincing version of Elvis Presley’s first Sun Records release, “That’s All Right,” and the first appearance of “The Flame Still Burns,” a track co-written by Mick Jones for the 1998 cult rock movie Still Crazy, where it was performed by Jimmy Nail. Foreigner 2011 still packs quite the punch. Hansen battles the odds and does an admirable job as the lead vocalist.

AMAZING

No one ever makes unplugged albums anymore and this one is great! A must have for a foreigner fan!

Completely Amazing

Beautifully done album. Saw them last year in Chattanooga at Riverbend and they have won me over with their music. Granted that Kelly Hansen isn't the original singer he does a fantastic job of bringing Foreigner to young adults like myself with a fresh yet original take on the classics. This album will make you swoon, especially the song "Say you will."

Good, but no Lou gramm!!!

Leave these songs alone, write some new material and start a new sound !

While quite a few arena rock acts of the '70s found the transformation into the '80s quite difficult, several acts continued to flourish and enjoyed some of their biggest commercial success: Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, and especially Foreigner. Foreigner's leader from the beginning has been British guitarist Mick Jones, who first broke into the music biz as a "hired gun" of sorts, appearing on recordings by George Harrison and Peter Frampton, and as part of a later-day version of hard rockers...
