Still?

I understand the concept, and I listen to a wide variety of music. I can understand Alva Noto and David Sylvian and Christian Fennesz, the nuance of minimalism and ambient music, and even Scott Walker (okay, just a little). But spoken-word-above-music, however delightful the voice (Jane's or Laetitia do Compiegne Sonami) is only good for a few minutes. Then it sounds like, well, someone talking. There's a reason why the world isn't full of spoken-word CD's: speakers are common. Good singers are rare, and I'm afraid Jane Siberry is wasting her gifts.

Lovely!

Lovely album as always. Quirky, beautiful, moving, tender, challenging, tuneful and eloquent!

AH!!!

So wonderful!
