Album Review

This staggering Puerto Rico All Stars tribute to Eddie Palmieri is (along with the first two PRAS recordings) among the finest salsa recordings ever made in Puerto Rico. It is arguably Jorge Millet's greatest work (whose eclectic, supercharged arranging style was mainly influenced by Palmieri's). Juancito Torres, Andy Montanez, and Lalo Rodriguez simply explode on this ageless recording, as fresh as when released back in 1979. Watch for 16-year-old Gilberto Santa Rosa ("Busca Lo Tuyo") on his third LP. ~ José A. Estévez, Jr., Rovi

Tribute to the Messiah (Remastered)

This is what salsa was. A reflection of the real latin music that salsa should be today. Thank you, itunes for the memories. Que sigues palante. Ricondbx.

These are some of those albums called (La Crema De La Salsa) the cream of salsa! When salsa was salsa and all 3 of the Puerto Rico All Stars albums are definitely a must to have on any salsa collection. When you want the hair on your forearms to stand on end just play this powerful and unparallel salsa. I have the original records (on vinyl) and I’m thankful to have found them digitally. One complaint though… M4P”s?.

Fat Smokin Salsa from the late

Jorge Millet, one bad dude way ahead of his time. Nothing less than genious. He put together some now classic arrangements that whenever I hear this the hairs on my arms stand on their ends. The piano bass lines , screaming horns will draw you in. You will never find anything like this, (with the exception of the first two of this series). I wish Jorge Millet was still around so that he could straighten up a few things that some of us hard core Salseros have been left without. Listen, learn and be captivated one more time!
