Wesley Price

Really incredible. Danny combines the joyful vibrations of an American pilgrimage (or anywhere) with soulful heart strings that conjure the deeper thoughts on existence, time, love and Earth that arise on such a trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Best album ever

This is, unequivocally, one of the best guitar albums I've ever bought in my life. This is on par if not better than the stuff I've listened to from greats such as Jorma Kaukonen, Conny Bloom, Leo Kottke, Howard Alden, Steve Kimock, Bob Weir. This album is a slice of heaven and so easy to get lost in. I cannot stop listening to it. More Danny Black, por favor!

About Danny Black

The nom de plume of guitarist/songwriter Dan Schwartz, a member of the Philly-based indie folk trio Good Old War, Danny Black delivers knotty and evocative instrumental guitar music that draws inspiration from six- and 12-string legends like Leo Kottke, Tommy Emmanuel, and Robert Fripp. After the release of Good Old War's fourth studio long-player, Broken Into Better Shape, in 2015, Black began demoing some of the instrumentals that he had been piecing together while on the road. In 2016 he headed to New Jersey to begin laying down tracks for his debut album. The resulting Adventure Soundtrack, a progressive folk, blues, and rock-inspired showcase recorded on acoustic, electric, and 12-string guitar, was released via Nettwerk the following year. ~ James Christopher Monger
