Album Review

Composer Graeme Revell, the go-to guy for apocalyptic soundscapes (Sin City, The Crow, The Chronicles of Riddick), takes on the big-screen adaptation of the popular MTV animated series Aeon Flux. Revell aims to conjure an icy blend of technological marvel and early-20th century quaintness, a feat that is almost achieved by his subtle juggling of loops and organic piano. It's an unobtrusive score that never develops into anything memorable, pulsing beneath the lithe steps of Charlize Theron's heroine like the soundtrack to a late-'90s video game.

Great Electronic Album!

What a great combination of modern and classic styles of music. A great upgrade from interesting music Drew Neumann provided for the animated series. For all those to strive for something different and unique, the is the CD for you. Revell does a wonderful job of combining the computerized syths of Bjork with the smooth oriental strings of Rob Dougan. A definate necessety for electronic fans.

Refreshing and slick

Like the movie, the soundtrack is very cool, euphonic and amazing blend of Orchestral and electronic sounds. Loved the movie and its sound track.

Great electronic soundtrack

The movie was greatly enhanced by the modern, eastern-sounding music. Though people's opinions are mixed on the quality of the film itself (I loved it, personally) there is no denying the soundtrack is excellent. It reminds me of Eric Serra's work on the James Bond movie "Goldeneye." Great mix of orchestral and electronic sounds.
