I love the movie and the soundtrack is better. Along with some great jazz is soft and strong symphonic tunes. This is one of the best soundtracks I've heard.

not your average sci-fi score

"METROPOLIS" is not your average sci-fi score. The score is based around several jazz themes. While this is a unique choice for a science fiction film, Mr. Honda's score works very well. The song "METROPOLIS" is one you can get up and dance to. Some of the songs are a bit odd, like "El Bombero", but on the whole, this is a very strong soundtrack album.

This is awesome. Great music. if u have the chance, buy the DVD, it has some stuff on how this album was made. In detail, it explains how he made this whole album from 3 basic themes: the one in Metropolis, the one in Zone Rhapsody, and the one in Hide Out. I wont say more, cause that would ruin the rest of it for you ;) I would also like to point out a spelling error. it's "Three Faces of Zone" not "Three Faced of Zone". When i originally bought this, it was spelled right. now, it is wrong. or, was the first one wrong?
