iTunes Review

Following 2013’s Paramore, Hayley Williams became “tired of self-doubt and losing friends” and considered decommissioning the band. It makes this rich, vibrant, defiantly poppy return as surprising as it is satisfying. On an album indebted to the ’80s, there are echoes of Talking Heads (“Hard Times”) and Blondie’s forays into reggae (“Caught in the Middle”), while guitarist Taylor York’s love of Afro-pop informs “Told You So.” Darker moods sit beneath the shiny surface though, and Williams’ lyrics offer compelling studies of frustration and self-sabotage.

Not impressed

I'm all for change, but I miss the choruses you can belt out loud at the top of your lungs. Guess this is their "artsy" phase.

Paramore is back!

So Hayley Williams release this just today and the Hard Times song along with the video was like a 70/80s retro vibe. Paramore has changed their sound from being rock to pop. They are growing as artists so do not expect them to be the same person they was yesterday or years ago. New sound still Paramore. Listen to the album first when it fully comes out and if you like it buy it. If you don't then listen to something else lol. Paramore is still going to release hits.

Different but good

The single is great, it will take some time to get used to it because the sound is so much different but you'll be jamming in no time @arod54dt

Already a powerhouse vocalist at the age of 13, Williams joined a band that the Farro siblings had formed with local guitarist Taylor York. She left the group soon after, signing with Atlantic Records as a solo artist instead, but clashed...
