This is there 4th cd and by far the best one yet, itunes sadly only has 2 of there albums, dissapointing. Great music though, excited to see whats next!!!

'Wolves and Vamps as Usual

Well, people insist up and down that "Blood of the Saints" is just a rehashing of Powerwolf's earlier albums, but as I'd only heard a handful of songs from "Bible of the Beast" and "Lupus Dei," I really can't confirm that.

In any case, wow. I love some catchy power metal, and Powerwolf has fed me just that. I knew I was going to enjoy this album when I heard the early sample track "Sanctified With Dynamite," and I was certainly correct. Simplistic and repetitive though the album may seem to long-time Powerwolf fans, I can't help but crank the volume when one of these tracks comes up on my shuffle.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that I have a guilty love of werewolves and vampires that Powerwolf consistently feeds me with just about every album they put out, this one included: "Song of a Wolf," "Night of the Werewolves," "We Drink Your Blood," "All We Need is Blood..."

Now I wouldn't go so far as to say that it is a perfect album, because as with all albums, there were some tracks I could simply never make myself like. "Murder at Midnight," for example, is definitely low on my list of favorites, as is "Ira Sancti" and, despite my love of werewolves, "Night of the Werewolves."

All in all, it's a good, solid power metal album with werewolves and vampires, and a pinch of tongue-in-cheek blasphemy thrown in there - exactly what I paid to get. I'm perfectly happy with my purchase.

Highs: "Sanctified With Dynamite," "We Drink Your Blood," "Son of a Wolf"
Lows: "Murder at Midnight," "Ira Sancti," "Night of the Werewolves"

PowerWolf is \m/eTAL!

Can't stop listening to this album. The riffs are solid and the vocals get your head banging immediately. The lyrics are quick and clear. Have not stopped listening to this album since I bought it. Listening to 'Sanctified with Dynamite' as I type this Review. PowerWolf is now one of my favorite bands. Need to go buy their older stuff now.

Stay \m/eTAL!

One of Germany's leading metal bands, Powerwolf combine high-speed guitar work and thundering drums with forceful vocals and dark fantasy themes. Powerwolf were formed in 2003 by guitarist Matthew Greywolf (born Benjamin Buss) and bassist Charles Greywolf (born David Vogt), two musicians who had been working together for years.
