This is such a great collection of songs by wonderful players. Bill Frisell's guitar shines throughout, filling up the space but never taking too much of it. Charlie Haden's mellow, jazzy bass lines fit Ginger's drums perfectly. These guys made 3 records together but this was the first, maybe the best one. Contrary to the reviewer above, East Timor is a powerful, political piece that kicks the band into overdrive as the album ends. Good stuff, nice to revisit....
