Big Echo is right! This album contains a wall of sound and a little bit of everything; soaring melodies, fuzzy guitars, voice layering, catchy drum beats; awesome! I especially like that the bass work shines through on almost every track. Listen closely! You'll find upbeat as well as slow numbers, all of which I think are very accessible upon a few listens. The vocalist's voice is light and carefree and soft and expressive when and where it needs to be. Overall, a very strong album that I feel will be one of my favorites of 2010.

Big Echo echoes through people

Big Echo is just as amazing as The Morning Benders first LP, "Talking Through Tin Cans". As you can tell, by sampling a few songs of Big Echo, The Morning Benders took a different approach to this album, and it works out for the best. "Excuses" gives the listener a great detailed description of what you'll hear in the album. Its soothing and calm approach is quite a welcoming gift. While there are slow songs such as "Wet Cement", "Pleasure Sighs", and "Mason Jar"; these songs never distract the listener from following this album through start to finish. Songs like "Hand Me Downs", "All Day Day Light", and "Cold War" make the listener flashback to their 1st album and wake them up after each slow one. This album is really for the "die hard" fan or a person who can listen to an album all the way through. The Morning Benders, themselves, suggested listening to it complete, from start to finish. The ending is wonderful with the two songs, "Stitches and "Sleeping In", and makes the listener feel comfortable and joyful, fully listening to the LP. "Sleeping In" is very unique. It makes me want to sleep in tranquility and in peace. Big Echo is a great name for this album too. It's echoing quite my soul and in my mind.

Favorites are "Cold War", "Hand Me Downs", "All Day Day Light", "Stitches", and "Sleeping In".

More people need to hear about this incredible band!!!! Their music is something from a Phil Spector studio. The catchy melodies and original lyrics are unbelievable to listen to in any situation. Big Echo is such a fitting name for this album. Everything about this album is ENORMOUS! The layers of noise and music is a beautiful change in sound that most bands cannot duplicate. This band is such a refresher to the music coming out today. They try and incorporate a 50's sound with the a modern feel. Listen to COLD WAR and you will be hooked!!!! Buy this album!!!! and tell your friends!!!
