Editors’ Notes

Fresh out of jail and emboldened by Death Row, 2Pac is like a man reborn on All Eyez on Me. He unloads frustration on “Wonda Why They Call U Bitch” and “Ambitionz Az a Ridah.” His piercing glare turns blurry with tears on “Life Goes On” and “I Ain’t Mad Atcha.” All Eyez on Me confirms Pac’s legendary status as a man who revealed his soul to the world—contradictions and all.

Glad to see this music on iTunes

I remember 2 years ago writing to Apple iTunes about the lack of Tupac Shakur music on iTunes. It was like they forgot about one of the greatest rappers of all time. What makes me even more happy is that they even have the photography and biography information which informs non Tupac fans about how awesome this guy was. The only downside to this is... there is still a lot of work to be done on getting all this guys music up on iTunes. This work has to live on and with the help of Apple it can happen. These are merely a few of the works that Apple should try and get on this service to make the Tupac Shakur page even better. Biography

Born: June 16, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s

2Pac became the unlikely martyr of gangsta rap, and a tragic symbol of the toll its lifestyle exacted on urban black America. At the outset of his career, it didn't appear that he would emerge as one of the definitive rappers of the '90s — he started out as a second-string rapper and dancer for Digital Underground, joining only after they had already landed their biggest hit. But in 1991, he delivered an acclaimed debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, and quickly followed with a star-making performance...
