This album is all flavor. I especially love Hey Young World. I pump this Jam in my car, and pray for a red lights so everyone at the light can get a taste. Truly Wicked!!

Tony Joseph Does It Again!! A Must Have for Smooth Jazz Lovers

If you don't know who Tony Joseph is by now, then where you been? Grab your Hidden Beach Recording Presents, Unwrapped CD jacket and read the inside flap. Joseph is the brainchild behind all of those CDs and there are four of them now. The thing about Joseph is that he's all about the music and his latest project, "Def Jazz" on GRP Records is just an extension to what he is already about in the smooth jazz world. This latest project pays homage to the Def Jam record lable and with Smooth Jazz artists like Gerald Albright, Hubert Laws, Dwight Sills and Jeff Loeber in the mix, you can't go wrong. Some of Def Jam's biggest hip/hop songs have been 'jazzed' by some of the best Smooth Jazz artists and when you hear the melodic tones of Ledisi vocalizing on the song, "The Rain", you can understand why so many think Joseph is up and coming in the music world. Make sure you check out Hubert Laws on "Bring the Pain" and the track "Doin' It" would make LL Cool J smile. This is a must have album if you love the mixing of smooth jazz and hip/hop. Joseph has done it again!!

First Impression

An interesting blend of HipHop and Jazz...the classic's get a fresh update with some of today's smooth jazz artist...I especially like Hey Young world(I believe this is the 1st single that's playing on smooth jazz stations), and Ghetto Jam(Has a nice feel and flow)...a pretty good joint to add to a jazz collection
