EDITORS’ NOTES

Where The Brilliance’s debut was streamlined and heavy on atmosphere, their follow-up finds the duo injecting their worship with textural richness and stylistic surprise. The indie pop-kissed “Gravity of Love” communicates the power of hope through whirling synthesizers and strings, while “Hear Our Prayer” reimagines CWM as bubbly ’80s New Wave. Despite the album’s sonic twists and turns, their message remains paramount—something that’s abundantly clear on “Will We Ever Rise,” a swelling, largely acoustic call for spiritual renewal and world peace.

About The Brilliance

An eclectic CCM/worship music duo featuring John Arndt and David Gungor (brother of Gungor mastermind Michael Gungor), the Brilliance was founded in 2010. They released their eponymous debut LP shortly after forming, followed by a pair of EPs that saw the group ink a deal with Integrity Music. They released their official full-length debut, Brother, through the label in 2015, which garnered critical acclaim, peaking at number 36 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. All Is Not Lost, the duo's much-anticipated sophomore Integrity release, arrived in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger
