Album Review

Quite often, tragedy and loss result in some of the most passionate and inspired music — and if you're a metal band, certainly some of the most vitriolic. Thus is the case with the debut album from Architect, 2007's All Is Not Lost. Some members of Architect were previously in Word as a Virus — a band that broke up after singer Shaun Luu passed away due to brain cancer. As a result, there is quite a bit of sonic venom detected throughout the album. Hardcore vocals, rubbery riffs, and death metal drumming are the key ingredients throughout, with the intensity only increasing as the album progresses.

Impressive

Alright! These guys know what the f**k there doing and d*mn ya gotta love 'em! This is full of great breakdowns, the songs (For the most part) Is against the currnt (stupid) war! So this leaves us with a good, breakdown lovin' war (this one) hatin' old fashioned metal that is really worth the money! I went to see these guys live, and they are pretty d*mn cool hahaha! If ya get the chance, buy this!!!!!

Good, but not too original

If you put Integrity, Coalesce, and Premonitions of War in a Hotel Room and fed them alcohol and roofies, Architect would be the offspring of that orgy.

This is in the wrong place

This is not related to the electronic band of the same name . Somehow it's metal and it could be good in it's own right. But I am unable to comment on that because I was expecting somthing else. iTunes needs to somehow be able to differentiate the two . I call that a bug I guess. Because I like the electronic band so much I almost hit the buy button I would be mad had that been the case.
