Abridged versions?

There needs to be a visible and easily identified notation within iTunes on songs that have been altered or abridged, in any way, from the artist's original version. Such is the case with this version of "All Right Now" -- the "Single" version of this classic song has been severly edited (3:35 play time, as opposed to the original 5:34 play time). The cutaway edits are somewhat sloppy and very noticable in this particular track, as they happen at pivotal points in the song. But when a customer can only listen to a :30 preview of a particular song, they never have the opportunity to hear (or have any knowledge of) these types of edits before buying. As a service to it's customers, Apple needs to explicitly spell out when these types of alterations exist; an annotation of "Abridged," "Altered" or "Live" needs to be plainly visible somewhere within the iTunes Store and/or shopping cart process, to let custmers know that they are purchasing a version of a song that is different from the original track. Using the term "Single" would make a customer think that this was the version played on the radio; it is far from it, and a dissappointment to those looking for the actual original, radio-played version of this song.

I love to be FREE!!

Free is one of those looked over great classic blues/rock bands which i love. Very down to earth goodness that i could listen to all day. The single version is abriged by the band not iTunes, even though the great late Paul Kossof didnt like this, the record companies insised. R.I.P Paul K.

Famed for their perennial "All Right Now," Free helped lay the foundations for the rise of hard rock, stripping the earthy sound of British blues down to its raw, minimalist core to pioneer a brand of proto-metal later popularized by 1970s superstars like Foreigner, Foghat and Bad Company. Free formed in London in 1968 when guitarist Paul Kossoff, then a member of the blues unit Black Cat Bones, was taken to see vocalist Paul Rodgers' group Brown Sugar by a friend, drummer Tom Mautner. After deciding...
