Customer Reviews

A let down? Quite the opposite.

I don't know about the other guy, but this album is a vast improvement over their last album, "The Alliance of Kings". It's full of bombastic guitars, a great vocalist, and a synthesized symphony that actually fits the music very well - and the drums are very fast paced and suitable for any power metal lover.

If you're a fan of what Italy has to offer, definitely check these guys out!

outstanding album!!!!

i discovered this group looking for a little something different. vocals could be better but is still good, i like the gentle sound of the voice, only if it could stand out in front of the music more. the drumming is right on, as well as the bass, guitars and the orchestrated parts. my favorite songs are "gates of noland" & "broken illusion". wish i could get there first album. i apologize for my earlier comment on the vocals. after listening to the album a few times i find that the vocals fit in perfectly with the music. good luck "ANCIENT BARDS" cheers to ya !!!!

Fantastic

Personally I find this to be a steady improvement from the group's last album. There is much to love in both the music (which is catchy while retaining its intense quality) as well as the story. I would definitely recommend this release.
