12 Songs, 53 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

How does the world’s biggest rock band broaden their base after a few years of experimentation? By refining and redefining their formula for cranking out arena-ready anthems that feel universal and personal at the same time. The template, of course, was the comeback single “Beautiful Day”: Along with fellow smashes “Elevation” and “Walk On,” it heralded the band’s still-thriving phase as halftime-show mainstays, openly declaring that being—and staying—the biggest band in the world was an artistic challenge as worthy as any they’d attempted.

Mr. Cruncher ,

thumbs up

This is U2's last great album. These are really good songs and still sound fresh.

If only...

City of Blinding Lights was supposed to be on this album... Boy if it made it on here... This album would be up there with the Joshua Tree.

one of if not their best

One of the very best U2 albums. There truly is not a bad song on this album. In a Little While is the 2nd best song U2 has next to One Tree Hill. Beautiful Day, Elevation, Stuck in a Moment, Wild Honey, Peace On Earth...are all great songs.
