Great Solo Outing - Different than BOC

This album came out between Fire of Unknown and Revolution, and it was quite different than the BOC at the time. I think Eric Bloom was quoted at time saying that Buck's album had some stuff that was just too soft for a BOC album. That being said, this album really rocks more than it soothes, and should be added to your collection. There is also a ping-pong match sound check "hidden" as a backwards mask, when back in the day the PMRC was on a witch hunt looking for chops to bust. The video for "Your Loving Heart is pretty cool", Maybe i-tunes will add that soon, too.

Count me as BOC#2 Fan!

I was 14 when this was released, and already a die-hard BOC fan. Now at 40, having this on iTunes is as exciting as when I got the cassette back in '82. That Summer Night and Cold Wind are stunners, and easily could have fit into albums like Mirrors or Revolutions. But this is not BOC, it's Buck Dharma. And this is an incredible album.

Long Lost Gem

I worked at the old Wherehouse records from 1981-1984, and we wore out our in-store copy of this. I also had a cassette tape which self-destructed on me years ago, so imagine my suprise when iTunes show up with it. Wow! I bought it as fast as I could. I hadn't heard it in about 18 years and was surprised at how good it still sounded to me. It sure brought back some good memories. I love "Born to Rock" with the skill saw in the background along with "That Summer Night" and "Cold Wind". They are just great songs. I've searched for this cd for years and saw a few go for $100 and up on ebay. Before the cd was re-released a few years ago, the manager of a local record store here once told me that he could easily sell a copy of this for $200! I would suggest you buy it now before it disapears again, and $10 is a bargain. It's just a great album by a very talented artist.
