12 Songs, 48 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

A few buzzworthy singles made All We Are the toast of the festival circuit in the summer of 2014 and earned comparisons to The xx. Their self-titled debut is all about sensual and subtly crafted songs, hypnotic basslines, and reverb-soaked atmosphere. Members of the collective hail from Brazil, Ireland, and Norway, and tunes like “Utmost Good” and “Honey” blur all kinds of borders, weaving gauzy shoegaze guitars with an understated disco thump. And while the lyrical poise of the trio of multitasking vocalists is as stylish as the electo-seduction of the execution, some of the catchiest hooks come with the wordless “oh”s and “ah”s of dreamy tracks like "I Wear You” and “Stone."

Great New and Fresh

This band is going to be a very good competitor for everyone and for some reason, I feel like this is them holding back.
