Phenomenal!!!

Scott DeRoche is the greatest musician of our generation and Betty Marie is hot!! If you don't like this band, you should choke yourself to death. (Note: Betty Marie... will you marry me?)

good but

This is a good album but PS bettie marie doesn't sing on this album.

BRILLIANT - but for different reasons...

As far as Betty Marie is concerned, she sounds more like she belongs on a New Pornographers type record than something this precious - this album (for the most part) NAILED IT. Whatever they were looking for - they broke away from Elliot Smith, Stephen Merritt, Silver Jews - that who emo seattle sound sort of thing (yes, I know they're not all FROM seattle... just roll with it...) I'm so late with this review, but HONESTLY out of thirteen songs they really nailed it on: Untitled (I just wish it was longer! in fact, I had to remix it and loop it myself so it fit perfectly in a playlist - a little canon with the vocals and it's a great sound - I just think it should go right into ALCOHOL since the same track is used towards the end - makes it more special)... so where was i... UNTITLED, MEET ME BY THE WATER, AMBULANCE, ALCOHOL, ULTIMATE STARS - out of thirteen songs these are the best - and it's not just because of the vocals (although whoever the guests are helping with the album, they did it GREAT justice) - Fred Thomas isn't the greatest for vocals - but he knows how to produce an album - the five songs afforementioned are permanent staples in my playlist.

Embracing a wildly eclectic variety of melodic influences, Saturday Looks Good to Me is the brainchild of indie pop wunderkind Fred Thomas, who has been the only constant member of the group since its inception in 2000. Saturday Looks Good to Me began as a fanciful project by Thomas (previously a member of Flashpapr and Lovesick) to create a record by a band that didn't exist; with the help of a handful of like-minded friends, Thomas wrote and produced a set of nine songs that drew on '60s pop sounds...
