17 Songs, 1 Hour 4 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Lonestar’s hitbound country/pop/rock collision is captured pretty comprehensively here. The Texas outfit’s first-ever greatest-hits anthology shows off all the sides of their sonic personality, from the good ‘n’ greasy rocker “No News” to the panoramic power ballad “Amazed.” For the hardcore fans that already own the band’s other albums, there are a few brand-new cuts here to sweeten the deal, including the soul-searching ballad “I Pray” and a poignant cover of folk-rocker Marc Cohn’s ‘90s hit “Walking in Memphis.”
