I saw Tommy live in September of 08. He is by far the greatest guitar player in the world. This is a fantastic live album and fans would be crazy not to buy it. Everyone who has the opportunity should see him live in concert. Perfection!

Tommy is a guitar wizard...He plays a guitar as easily as all of take a breath and as naturally as our hearts beat. I will have the distinct pleasure of seeing a concert by one of his counterparts and comrades...Martin Taylor...on October 12, 2008. Check out Pete Huttlinger...He is also in the same vein as Tommy and Martin...happy listening!!!

Better All The Time

This album is a veritable tour de force of acoustic prowess. The description by the opening announcer is 'acoustic music in your face'. And while I agree with that assessment as far as sheer energy and enthusiasm goes, it does not do justice in describing Tommy's gift of beautiful melody, technical subtlety, and personal charm. There are fret-burning songs of great dexterity and fun, punctuated by ballads swelling with emotion and warmth. A wonderful balance of acoustic delight. If you've never heard of Tommy before, GET THIS ALBUM! It's a great introduction you won't regret. Then you can go get all of his other acoustic CDs. If you've been a Tommy Fan for a while, GET THIS ALBUM! Like fine wine, "Tom's Thumb and da' boys" just get better all the time.

After years as a popular sideman and ace songwriter, the two-time ARIA (Aussie Grammys equivalent) award winner launched his solo career in 1988 with Up from Down Under.
