Powerful, poignant, nearly perfect.
This is an album that hits the elusive sweet spot of vulnerable and powerful, in composition and performance, both instrumentally and vocally. Complex yet catchy guitar riffs fully fleshed out in to powerful full band orchestrations. On top of it all a breathtaking beautiful voice, naked, sometimes raw, always beautiful.
Her voice is a rocket, her words strike home, dead center. The melodies wind their way into your consciousness. You want to hear it again after the first listen.
Also (and this is too often a rarity), this album is very well mastered. Is just flat out sounds great.
