Album Review

Rob Zombie's American Made Music to Strip By features remixes of songs from Hellbilly Deluxe by like-minded producers and artists such as former Nine Inch Nails members Charlie Clouser and Chris Vrenna, Rammstein, God Lives Underwater, and Philip Steir, formerly of Consolidated. The sexy, sleazy, horror-movie vibe of Hellbilly Deluxe is amplified on a remix of "What Lurks on Channel X?" by the Spacetruckers, Rammstein's reworking of "Spookshow Baby," and the "Poly 915" remix of "Demonoid Phenomenon." Clouser turns in revamped versions of "Superbeast," "Dragula," and "Living Dead Girl" that expand on the songs' creepy yet hard-hitting feel. American Made Music to Strip By also includes a 28-page booklet of artwork and photos from the Hellbilly Deluxe tour.

Excellent Album!

American Made music is just plain solid all the way through, with no filler between tracks 1 and 12. Fans of Rob Zombie's other work (Hellbilly Deluxe, Supersexy Swinging Sounds, etc.) and fans of White Zombie should enjoy this album because the remixes do not depart radically from the original tunes. Its more 'augmenting,' and less 'reworking the entire track'. However, the electronic enhancement and remixing does add greater depth to Zombie's music, and generally smooths out the harsher edges on several tracks, giving American Made Music a more polished sound. Don't worry though, it's still plenty loud and nasty, and reminds me disturbingly of a Halloween I spent at a strip club.

livin dead girl all the way!!!

I'm not a fan of remixes, but this album perked my interest. Zombie has managed to bring back Hellbilly Deluxe...and make it even better! Every song on this album is worth listening to, especially Rammstein's "Spookshow Baby" remix. An amazing album for fans and newcomers alike!
