my psychedelic soul rejoices

Before the release of Amoral, Violens gave out free downloads of songs and mixtapes off their website to give everyone a taste of what they are about. And all of that glorious noise is captured in this album. It's garage rock meets psychedelia of the modern age. The sounds they create are big, brash and inescapably transcendant. It's familiar in feeling, but yet entirely unique. A fantastically sculpted debut piece of art.

Sounds so classic and completely new at the same time!

I love this album, and I love this band. Violens is doing it right—crafting great solid songs.

Formed by former members of Lansing-Dreiden in late 2007, New York's Violens derive their name from a combination of "violence" and "violins."
