Customer Reviews

People you're missing out!!

I just don't understand how I'm the 1st person to review this album! An amazing groundbreaking album that completely floored me the 1st time I heard it (& continues to do so to this day!). Seriously, do yourself a favor & check this out. The influence of this band (especially this album) is pretty far reaching.

Not for everyone

If you are a fan of heavy music, this is a fantastic underground metal/punk album. Very original guitar playing, very dissonant and rhythmic. Low, sludgy bass, and walloping drums with complex song structures. I found out about this band through a t-shirt of theirs that I found used. Some of the members (without the singer) went on to form Young Widows, also a fantastic band. I would recommend this to anyone who likes some original, loud, calculated, and fun as all hell metal.

Great stuff

This is a really solid record, way better than their first, and if you can find the "split sessions" release they did in 2004, PICK THAT UP. By far they're best work.

Taking cues from acts like Deadguy, the Jesus Lizard, Kiss It Goodbye, and Hoover (their name comes from one of the latter's songs), the guys appeared on various Initial Records releases before their brutally chaotic and discordant hardcore/metal attack found its way onto 2003's Only in the Morning,...
