EDITORS’ NOTES

“I can honestly say that [this] is without doubt the most fun score I’ve ever produced,” says composer Bear McCreary of AVGN creator/producer/codirector James Rolfe's entirely crowdfunded romp. “The music combines a full symphonic orchestra, heavy metal rhythm section, and custom sampled synthesis from NES, Super Nintendo, and SEGA Genesis hardware,” McCreary explains. “For this score, I got to live out all my musical fantasies, combining influences from my favorite videogames and film composers that inspired me when I was a kid. Underneath its retro-electronic trappings, my music for Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie is an old-school orchestral adventure score in the style of John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith. Compositionally, I think it stands alongside the best of my career.”

CPHProductions,

Title says all.

Bear McCreary + James Rolfe = Killer Kombo!

Kentucky F. Chicken,

Last year, I watched the Starz show "Black Sails," and while watching, I got curious about the soundtrack, and that's how I learned all about Mr. Bear McCreary. I purchased that album and listened to it with my heart's content. It was such a fun album, and I enjoyed every second.

Before hearing of Bear, I knew who James Rolfe was: The Angry Video Game Nerd, often credited as the original angry reviewer, (IRate fans, be jealous, because he is a ripoff of Rolfe) and I always enjoyed his poor-quality yet still hilarious videos. I never thought that they could come together to form an epic combo.

And then....... THIS happened!

Bear McCreary was already an amazing compose, and combined with Rolfe's style and crudeness, it creates a combination that is truly out of this world!

Awesome Soundtrack!

Mindinversion,

Five stars for the soundtrack, Five stars for the movie, Ten stars for James Rolfe.

Knocked off a star because Apple will take a huge % cut, wish I could mail Mr. Rolfe a check directly
