This will soon be your favorite album.

My thoughts at the Waterloo Records listening station last week: "Matt the Who? Never heard of him. Nice beard though. I'll have a listen... WHOA!!! Who IS this guy!? This is AMAZING! OK, I'll buy everything he's ever recorded." This is his latest and IMO greatest album. It's definitely my favorite album of the year so far. Absolutely perfect happy pop-folk kinda thing. Also check out his other stuff, especially "One Thing Right."

Not so good...

I've listened to Matt the Electrician for a while, and this is my least favorite album. There was something honest about his earlier records that is absent in Animal Boy. I think it's a little over produced--no need for all the horns, bells, and whistles. I guess I find his new look and sound to be a little affected and less sincere than his previous work. Listen to the Left Coast if you want to hear what I'm talking about. Maybe he needs to do a little more work as an electrician and get back to his roots...

Love it!

First album I have purchased in a while where EVERY song is solid. Keep up the great work Matt.
