WEW just keeps getting better

IMHO this is his best effort to date. His raw down to earth lyrical style is highlighted with more musicality than in previous albums. Although I love all of his stuff this delivers a more engaging and maturing sound showing his growth as an artist. Not only is this a must buy but he is a must see live. You will appreciate WEW and his music a thousand times more if you venture out to see him.

A great songwriter at his best

If you are not familiar with WEW, this is the album to buy. From Mutiny to A Good Day to Die, this album packs a hard creative punch both lyrically and melodically. This is the rootsy apex of WEW in terms of his vocal quality and his songwriting chops. He's only getting better. Look out for the next one.

Incredible Album

William Elliott Whitmore's "Animals in the Dark" is his best effort to date... with more instrumentation than in his previous albums, the songs take on a whole new energy. Check out "There's Hope For You", "Mutiny" and "Hell or High Water"... though there's really not a bad song on the album.

His songs have a stark universality that is sketched out with minimal instrumentation, usually just a banjo or guitar and a smattering...
