Totally and utterly disagree completely.

For those people who say that us Beatle lovers should "get over them" because they are so called "overrated", need to think again. The only way people can listen to GOOD music is to listen to music from awhile back, because obviously, MOST of today's music is...let me put this gently, terrible. People can't even TRY to convince me that people like Lil' Wayne and Ke$ha have any competition for GOOD music against the Beatles. Beatles hands down can show them up. Their music hasn't died, and won't anytime soon, so give it up.

This is it.

The be all and end all of popular music. Without The Beatles, rock and roll might have faded out a long, long time ago. Without their creativity and success, rock and roll might never have been taken seriously. And without their influence, the whole concept of rock bands might not have lasted past the 1960s. Someone once said that not liking The Beatles' music is as perverse as not liking the sun. That pretty much sums it up. They created the blueprint for all that has followed, and it has never been bettered. The truth still stands: the magnificence and significance of this music simply cannot be overstated. Happily, this music now is available on iTunes in its beautifully remastered form as was released on CD in 2009. PS - in case anyone under 40 is unaware and lest anyone else ever forget, Apple Computers was named as a tribute to The Beatles' own company/record label, Apple Corps. You see, they weren't just an influence on pop culture and to musicians and songwriters - they were important to just about everyone, including one particular computer entrepreneur named Jobs...
