Toto's Last Great Album

This is an excellent album from 1988 and the last to feature Joseph Williams as lead singer. It contains the superb hits - "Pamela" and "Stop Loving You" and others that would've been hits if only given the chance. Some of the highlights on this record are songs like "You Got Me" which is a fast paced pop number and which has great guitar work by Steve Lukather. The lush "Mushanga" which is reminescent of "Africa" and which has very cool & unique percussion by Jeff Porcaro. "Stay Away" is a powerful hard rocker that features Linda Rondstadt's tremendous vocals. "Straight for the Heart" is a great fast paced dance number. "Only the Children" is a very catchy mid tempo track with more great guitar & drumming. And the ballads - "Anna", " These Chains and "A 1000 Years" are very well done and satisfying as well. Basically, this album is superb from beginning to end and contains much of their best & most exciting work. A Must own for any Toto fan.

Great Album, to close out the 80's, for Toto!!!

I love this album because it has a good mixture of Pop, dance, and some acoustic music, as well... "Straight for the Heart," has a quick heavy drum beat that will make you want to get up and dance!!!! I think Jeff Porcaro's versatility, and talent as a drummer is showcased here...
I think Toto starts to show the rest of the world, what kind, sensitive, and conscientcious human beings they are, listen to "Only The Children," "Home Of The Brave." I can't speak for others, but I enjoy listening to a band more when I know that they genuinely care about their fans... Thanks Toto!
