Welcome Home Brian

Going off into different directions the past few albums, Brian returns to his roots, masterfully updating the album that got it all started 20 years ago.
Layering deep, emotion invoking tunes, Brian boasts a who's who in the contemporary jazz world including Russ Freeman, Candy Dulfer, Jonathan Butler, Lee Ritenour and more helping reinterpret his debut album.
The thickness of the sound emotes visions of a packed studio thumping out songs from the Funkiest Man Alive.
Then you realize it's just Brian in his studio lacing together track after track on his computer.
Owning nearly every album, this overlooked gem far surpasses the original in artistry and production quality. The music flows with a confident strength that is instantly recognizable.
Yet, in deference to his co-collaborating guest stars, he allows their signature sounds to emerge while he supports on the piano.
This will receive heavy rotation upon its official release. It's not often you fall in love with an entire album; this latest effort from Brian rightfully earns that distinction.

His father, Jim Culbertson, a respected high school jazz band director and trumpeter, cultivated a love of sanguine sounds in the young Brian, who eagerly listened to anything his dad put...
